System Engineer Avionics - Flight Control (a)

Role and Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and integrate flight control systems for our products
  • Define flight control architectures, control laws, and system requirements based on performance, safety, and operational objectives.
  • Develop and analyse control algorithms for vehicle stabilization, guidance, navigation, and autonomous flight functions.
  • Take system design responsibility for assigned electrical and electronic systems across the product lifecycle 
  • Create and maintain design data like specifications, wiring diagrams, configurations, interface definitions, and test procedures
  • Prototype assembly of components and systems
  • Lead and support integration of systems in the aircraft 
  • Support ground, and flight testing, including hands-on troubleshooting activities
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving
  • Managing avionics components and system suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements

Your profile

  • Higher education in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, or Systems Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical, electronics, avionics, or system integration engineering
  • Strong expertise in electrical flight control systems, manufacturing support, assembly, and testing
  • Proficiency with at least one major electrical CAD/ECAD tool (e.g., for schematics, wiring, or harness design)
  • Hands-on mindset with a strong ability and willingness to troubleshoot, analyse, and solve technical problems
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and growing company
  • Strong team player with good communication skills across disciplines
  • Fluent in English – written and spoken
  • Experience with M365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • A strong can-do/will-do attitude
  • Strong ownership from kickoff to delivery

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in high-quality and safety-critical environments (e.g., aviation, automotive, medical devices, rail, or similar)
  • Having experiences in certification processes and/or worked under EASA Part21
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence
  • German: B2 - Upper Intermediate language
